The reconstruction of medieval book from XIV/XV century. It has blank pages ready for writing. The casing allows to fasten the book to the belt. Dimensions: 14cm x 9,5cm x 2cm; length with knot: 30cm.






Three-fingered gloves were used by people from lower and middle class mostly as a hand protection at work. Woolen gloves with lining are perfect for fall-winter season.

A cotton cone, diameter approx. 4 meters) with a wooden folded (two parts) mast of 3 metres heigh with a set of steel pegs. Cotton have no impregnation.

A cotton cone made of 14 parts,( diameter approx. 3 meters) with a wooden folded mast(two parts)of 2,6 metres heigh with a set of steel pegs. We use cotton (about 300g/m2) with waterproof impregnatation.

A linen (we use linen about 560g/m2) cone made of ten parts (at the bottom 1 metre of width, diameter approx. 3 meters) with a wooden folded (two parts) mast of 2,65 metres heigh with a set of steel pegs.

A headwear made of wool with a linen padding reaching the shoulders, with a tail. It can be made with a cut-out.

It's a long loose robe put on over the head, with no sleeves. It's made of wool with a linen lining. A surcote is an outer garment used from the 13th century till the early 14th century. In the iconography it is not usually tightened with the belt.
Item is slightly dirty on the bottom edge as it was used on exhibition.
Intended for the person to 180 cm in height and circumference of the bust to 100 cm.
Lining color - brick red.
Outther color -mixture of light blue and light grey







It's an travel outer garment with a hood and with long wide sleeves with a cut near the elbow (allowing you to pull out the hand), it's put on over the head. It's made of wool with a linen lining.
Colour - navy blue with yellow lining.

Buckler, small round shield (diameter 37cm), made from plywood, with steel spherical umbo ( 3mm thick) covered with linen fabric, edge hardened with thick leather. Weight approx. 2,3kg. The buckler was used by the infantry starting from XIII century.






This type of representation of the saints was used to decorate private chapels or a prayer-desk.
The picture based on "Madonna with Child" located in Munich and probably made by Jean Malouel around 1410.
The picture is made on an oak plank, seasoned and with linen canvas glued to it. Whole plank has been covered with glue-gypsum plaster on which the picture was drawn for the further gilding. The gilding was made with metal particles that are an imitation of gold and give half-mat effect. Egg tempera was used for the painting process and produced with using the original medieval method. It was drawn onto the plank with thin strokes. The painting layer was first protected with egg white varnish. A glaze was put on the gilding.

Small tent for 1 or 2 persons. Great for medieval wanderers. A tent made of impregnated cotton fabric. It has 2 masts of 125cm length joined with a horizontal pole. Length between the masts is 170cm. No guy ropes; there are only loops on the edge of the tent which must be pinned to the ground. The front part of the tent can be pulled up and used as an entrance.

Sixteen-angled pavillon with one mast - construction based on guy ropes (what makes it easier to transport comparing to umbrella-type tents). Walls are detachable.

A tent made of impregnated cotton fabric for soldier reenactors. 2 masts - height 205cm, combined with a horizontally mounted pole which makes the construction stable. The length between the masts is 1,7m. No guy ropes; there are only loops on the edge of the tent which must be pinned to the ground. Oval entrance which can be closed with a curtain.

Nailbinding (from danish knitting/needle weaving) - in the early Middle Ages it was very common way of making knitwear using fibres and needle in the early middle ages. The technique is perfect for making socks (or even hoses), gloves and caps.
